Our Story

 

Hi, we are Joanna and Mike from New York.  We are happy to share our story with you.  We met on a summer night at an amusement park.  We were introduced by a friend of Mike's who was dating Joanna's sister at the time.  It did not take us long to become teenage sweethearts.  We have been happily married for 18 years, and we have known each other for over 20 years.  We can truly say we have seen each other grow into who we are today.

 

From the very beginning, we knew we wanted to have children.  After many years of trying to have a baby, our doctors told us we would not be able to conceive.  We believe that God has a plan for each and every one of us, and we knew that adoption was the way we wanted to build the family we had always dreamed of.

 

We both have siblings and are very close to our loving and supportive families.  Our whole family is excited about the possibility of our family growing once again through adoption.

 

Since we adopted Isabella, we started a new tradition called "Family Day."  At least once a week, the three of us do something fun together as a family.  We like being active and enjoy the outdoors any chance we can get.  Some of our favorite family adventures are apple picking and an afternoon at the beach.

 

We were lucky enough to have had the chance to get to know Isabella's birth mother and family before her birth.  We keep in contact by phone, texting, email and share photos and videos as Isabella grows.  We have a very special relationship filled with respect and love.  Your baby will always know the love that you have for him or her and that you gave them the greatest gift of love and a chance to have a great life.  We are committed to being the best parents we can be. We would love to hear your wishes for an adoption plan.  Whatever that may be, we will respect your wishes.
